When we were expecting Dane, I was 100% sure of the stroller I wanted. The Bob. Expensive, but worth it. I have absolutely loved it. There are a few things about it that I don't like: no cup holder, really awkward and small basket, and the main thing I don't like is that Dane can't really sit completely upright in it. But none of these things would keep me from recommending it to a friend (or a stranger, for that matter.) I used it to train for my half marathon last year, and it is a fantastic jogging stroller.
Now enter the dilemma. I have two kids. That part in and of itself is absolutely wonderful, and not at all a dilemma. My dilemma is with the stroller. I have been using the Bob for Dane, and the Baby Bjorn for Campbell, but I would really like to get a double stroller. The problem is, I don't want to have 15 different strollers. I would really love to just buy a double jogging stroller (since I do love to run, and would ideally love to run with my two munchkins) and use that for everything, but I'm not sure I can find one that fits all my requirements. We are not in the same financial situation we were in when preparing for Dane. We were both working then, and had a lot more disposable income. I REALLY don't want to shell out the $600 for the Bob Duallie. And, since I want to use the stroller for everyday use, it is more important to me now that Dane can actually sit upright and see what's around.
So, I ask you my readers (all two of you) what are your thoughts/opinions/suggestions on the double stroller issue? Do you have one you love? Do I need to relinquish my dream of the ideal (read: affordable, good quality, swivel wheel, separate canopies, upright seating (with the ability to recline as well), drink holder...) double jogging stroller? I'm new to this two kid thing, and I know there are many of you out there who have faced this same dilemma. I am eager to glean insight and direction from those who have gone before :).

We have a Baby Trend Double Jogger and I LOVE IT! It only coast $189 on amazon with free shipping. The kids have a shared canopy, but it's fully adjustable, even directly in front if it's early/late in the day or just windy. The seats are separate and can recline or not.
I love that it fits in our Civic trunk without even removing the wheels (which is easy to do if necessary). It has lots of storage an an optional swivel wheel. It can fit though most doorways, but not all. Anyway, I'd highly recommend it.

I have the same dilemma. I hope someone posts something brilliant. I'll probably end up with something from the classifieds. Maybe you could find a Bob on there.
I couldn't give you any recommendations on a double stroller since we just have one little kiddo, but have you checked out KSL or Craigslist for a used one?
We should get together! Especially now that the weather is nice! Park, with the kids?
Good luck. I use a double that isn't a side-by-side. It's the worst. My shoulders are killing by the end of a 3 mile run because I have to steer and correct for so long. I am borrowing my neighbor's, but I have no swivel wheel nor cupholder. I just am grateful for the use of a double jogger. The amazon idea doesn't sound half bad. I hope you find something brilliant.
Just in case you were all wondering, after MUCH research (truly I think I put WAY too much energy into this... hopefully it pays off!) I went with the InStep Safari Swivel Wheel Double Jogger. It has good reviews, and the double canopy, which I really did want. I found it on Amazon for $179.99. It's backordered, so I don't know when I'll be getting it, which is a bummer.
Jen, thanks for the recommendation! I appreciate it:)
I'll let you all know how it turns out.

We should discuss this. I am at a major crossroads about what kind of stoller/car seat contraption to get. Someone mentioned the BOB to me and I didn't really pay attention until I read this...it's now a contender. Did you use it with Dane when he was a newborn?
I've looked at every travel system and stoller/car seat combo on the planet and can't decide...It's either too bulky, or it doesn't have a big enough accessible basket, or blah blah blah. HELP! :)
BTW!!! did you see on fb that our little David in Merida is freaking MARRIED? I haven't asked him if he's serious for fear of flipping out on him.
Em, I don't know you, but I so wish I had bought a phil and ted for my first baby. Then all I'd need to do for my second is buy the attachment.
