Daner-isms

--"Hey, buddy, what's your name?"

Response: "Daner"

--"I hold you." (instead of "Hold me")

--"Dane, what color is that?"

Response: "That's uhhhhhh bluewhite."

(You could then repeat the question and elicit the correct response. Sadly, he has come to the realization that "bluewhite" is not a commonly known color, which has resulted in the correct answer coming out on the first try.
Sad, sad day when "bluewhite" went away.)

--"Sweetie Campbell, 'sokay."

(said to Campbell when she was crying in the car)

--"Bye bye Gammy, bye bye Sherdan, bye bye Jesus."

(Said last night as we were leaving Brock's parents house. He wanted to make sure and say goodbye to the picture of Jesus as well. We all thought it was so adorable, and then Brock informed us that he had also said goodbye to the t.v. remote. Gotta love that kid!)

My Monster

Why do they call it "the terrible twos?" I'll admit the alliteration sounds nice, but most people I talk to agree that the "terrible" stage begins a bit before the two year mark. Dane has hit them in stride. I'll tell you what, that kid knows how to throw a tantrum (and I promise he didn't learn it from his mother).

It's a good thing this little guy is so dang cute. After being a monster, he'll do something adorable and I'll remember why I love being a mother (and I do really, truly LOVE it.)

Dilemma

When we were expecting Dane, I was 100% sure of the stroller I wanted. The Bob. Expensive, but worth it. I have absolutely loved it. There are a few things about it that I don't like: no cup holder, really awkward and small basket, and the main thing I don't like is that Dane can't really sit completely upright in it. But none of these things would keep me from recommending it to a friend (or a stranger, for that matter.) I used it to train for my half marathon last year, and it is a fantastic jogging stroller.

Now enter the dilemma. I have two kids. That part in and of itself is absolutely wonderful, and not at all a dilemma. My dilemma is with the stroller. I have been using the Bob for Dane, and the Baby Bjorn for Campbell, but I would really like to get a double stroller. The problem is, I don't want to have 15 different strollers. I would really love to just buy a double jogging stroller (since I do love to run, and would ideally love to run with my two munchkins) and use that for everything, but I'm not sure I can find one that fits all my requirements. We are not in the same financial situation we were in when preparing for Dane. We were both working then, and had a lot more disposable income. I REALLY don't want to shell out the $600 for the Bob Duallie. And, since I want to use the stroller for everyday use, it is more important to me now that Dane can actually sit upright and see what's around.

So, I ask you my readers (all two of you) what are your thoughts/opinions/suggestions on the double stroller issue? Do you have one you love? Do I need to relinquish my dream of the ideal (read: affordable, good quality, swivel wheel, separate canopies, upright seating (with the ability to recline as well), drink holder...) double jogging stroller? I'm new to this two kid thing, and I know there are many of you out there who have faced this same dilemma. I am eager to glean insight and direction from those who have gone before :).
