Summer Lovin' Happened SO Fast!!!
Summer went by way too fast this year! We had a great time getting together with friends (though not as often as we would have liked), family (sometimes more often than we would have liked--Just kidding!), and especially enjoying each other. Here are some pics from our summer fun activities.

Feeding the Ducks
Dane loves animals. We haven't yet met one he's not totally fascinated by. We decided a few weeks ago that we would take him to feed some ducks. We went out by the airport, and found this huge gathering, that even included a few geese (kind of creepy looking birds, if you get up close. That nob on their nose is a little disconcerting.)
These ducks were not in the slightest afraid of humans. We walked up and they came a flocking (literally). We tried to spread the love with our half loaf of Wonderbread (not sure why when I was a child I enjoyed that bread so much...it's awful!) Dane was a little unsure about them getting so close, but he loved it, and so did we!

Then and Now
*If you can't read the tiny writing on the pictures:
in the left picture, I was 20 weeks pregnant with Dane.
The right picture was taken on Saturday, at 21 weeks with baby girl.
*I weigh now what I weighed at 14 weeks with Dane.
*At 22 weeks with Dane, I had gained a *gulp* whopping 15 lbs
With Baby girl, at 21 weeks, I've only gained 5
I'm eating a LOT healthier this time, and I'm still running
(not to mention I'm chasing after an incredibly active 15 month old every day).
*Yes, I chopped my hair, and No, this is not the best picture of the haircut, but Dane happened to get ahold of the camera, and erased the good one. I promise a good one soon. Don't judge it by this picture alone...

Island Park & Yellowstone
My family went to one of the most beautiful places on earth a month, or so ago. If only blogging were more of a priority....*sigh*. It was not Dane's first time to Island Park. In fact, I think this was the 4th time he has been in his 14 months of life. But it was his first time to Yellowstone. We saw lots of elk, were the closest I have ever been to a moose, and had a VERY close encounter with a buffalo, as it wandered down the middle of the street. Dane loved watching the birds--especially the big crows, and searching for squirrels.
Dane loved feeding the fish, and the squirrels. (though it mostly consisted of you handing him bread, and him shoving it in his own mouth--cute little squishy!) It is just so much fun to see things through the eyes of a child. Everything becomes so much more exciting.
He LOVED the waterfalls, and even learned to say "Wow" as he was looking at them.
He wasn't all that interested in sitting and waiting for Old Faithful to go off. He just wanted to be on the move. But once it started spouting that super hot water, he was mesmerized.

This is one of my favorite pictures. He LOVES his Grandpa and Grandma! Thanks SO much, Mom and Dad for a wonderful little getaway!
